Depending on the number of students and their specific skills we can offer either AQA Music A-level, Edexcel Music Technology A-level or BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts.

Clubs

Revision and intervention clubs are provided by the Music Department to ensure that all pupils fulfill their potential in the subject. We also have percussion, voice, clarinet, flute and brass ensembles running at lunchtimes throughout the week. These are led by the peripatetic teachers with support from teaching staff and are available to anyone with a keen interest in joining the group. We also have band rehearsals each week. We have regular concerts both at Chesterfield High School and off-site throughout the year.

Trips

Trips that Music/Art have offered over the last 3 years include enrichment trips to New York and Paris as well as performance based trips to Parr Street Studios to record the school band as well as some individual student performances. We have also taken Music students away on residential weekends to improve ensemble skills and rehearse different groups.
