Facilities

We’re committed to the continuous improvement of our Post 16 provision at Chesterfield. As part of this, we have invested in major updates to our facilities to help us better support our students throughout their time with us.

We have already created a dedicated new Sixth Form Zone with spaces for students which allows them to complete independent study uninterrupted, access IT facilities and relax during their free time. This new Sixth Form area has been specially designed to allow students the space to learn alone, in groups, or in a conference room style. Lessons are often also taught in this area, with dedicated Post-16 classrooms, whilst other subjects such as science, art, photography and catering are taught in specialist areas of the school. The Sixth Form Zone is led and managed by a dedicated Sixth Form Learning Mentor who is there to support students both pastorally and academically, as well as advising on future career choices.
