The Christmas Celebration 2019

The annual Christmas Celebration was held in the school Sports Hall on Thursday 12 December 2019. A change in venue from previous years (usually St. Luke’s, Crosby) due to increased demand for tickets!

For the first time ever almost every year 7 pupil sang as part of the celebration performing traditional carols including Away in a manger, Hark! The herald Angel’s sing, O little town of Bethlehem and O come all ye faithful. An amazing experience and one they will never forget. Well done year 7!

The Musical Theatre Club sang to their usual high standard featuring different soloists performing Somewhere in my memory, White Christmas, Walking in the air, Last Christmas, Stille Nacht (Silent Night) and O Holy Night. An incredible sound that filled the hall. It’s always a joy to listen to this group!

The dance department then showcased talented pupils from year 7, 8 and 9. All four dance routines were choreographed by 6th form students and they were fantastic to watch! Each group performed technically challenging routines and their hard work paid off. Great to see the next generation coming through!

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and a wonderful way to start the Christmas season.

Well done to everyone involved.
