Freerunning success for Year 7 Student

Congratulations to Sean Cornforth, a year 7 student, who had fantastic success in freerunning last weekend. Freerunning, also known as parkour, became an official sport in January 2017 and is growing fast in popularity.

Sean won 1st place in two national freerunning competitions: under 12’s freestyle competition and under 12’s speed competition. Sean, who trains at Airborn Academy in Sandhills, competed at Nova City in Rotherham on 5th and 6th January, in an event called Project Underground. The event is held twice a year and attracts professional freerunners from around the world.

Well done, Sean. Keep up your fantastic work!
