Remembrance Day

Thank you to all Year 7 and 8 students who purchased poppies this week and proudly wore them on their blazers. Mr Sexton gave a touching assembly talking about the bravery shown not only by the soldiers who fought in the two World Wars, but also the people left at home supporting each other through such adversity. We also said a huge thank you to all of those who are currently serving the country both at home and oversees.

Food Bank Donations

This term we are supporting two charities who are collecting food for the homeless within our community, particularly at a time when cold, wet and dark conditions prevail. Year 13 are collecting for the foodbanks of 2 local charities. Whitechapel in Liverpool and Emmaus in Seaforth work to improve the lives of homeless people in our local community. We would love it if every person in Chesterfield could make a difference to the lives of these people. It is so easy to do! All you need to do is to bring in as many tins/packets of non-perishable food and toiletries as you can.

A collective small gesture from everyone at Chesterfield goes a long way, and can really make a difference to the lives of people in your community at Christmas time.
