THEME OF THE WEEK – CHOICES
The assemblies for Years 10 and 11 were led by Mr. Sexton who focused on the potential consequences of the choices that we all make. Pupils were able to reflect and think about positive consequences and how to be helpful towards others.
‘Everyone can do simple things to make a difference, and every little bit really does count.’
The assembly finished off with a clip of Kid President sharing his views on ‘How we can Change the World.’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4z7gDsSKUmU
YEAR 11 FOCUS – MOCK INTERVIEWS
The Mock Interviews organised in conjunction with Sefton Business Partnership are scheduled to take place on October 9th – 11th. Students have been preparing for this in their PSCHE lessons and are encouraged to spend some additional time at home preparing. Resources can be found on the Google Classroom (2im1322) or alternatively Barclays Life Skills website has some very useful tips plus a Virtual interview Practice tool.
Interview times have been emailed individually to pupils and a further copy of the running order has been displayed in school. It is expected that students will arrive 10 minutes early to avoid any panic or last minute rushing but also this will help to ensure that the times are adhered to and everything runs to plan.
Letters have gone out informing parents and students of the forthcoming assessments. These are scheduled for the last week before October half term and will help to identify the progress made since September. The topics for Revision can be found on the letters:
