LABOUR PARTY CONFERENCE

On Tuesday Year 12 Students visited the Labour Party Conference at the ACC Liverpool. Students got the opportunity to witness first-hand the democratic process of the party where delegates voted on motions proposed by constituency parties, and policy proposals formulated by the party’s National Policy Forum.

In addition to this, there was a choice of over 70 panels, debates and speeches to attend. The variety of topics covered were vast and ranged from the likes of ‘Building an Economy That’s Works for Nature’ to ‘How Long until we have a Robot for PM?’

In between attending the various forums, Year 12 were able to witness live interviews being broadcast, explore the Exhibition and network with the local business and enterprise providers.

ASSESSMENT WEEK

Letters have gone out informing parents and students of the forthcoming assessments. These are scheduled for the last week before October half-term and will help to identify the progress made since September. The topics for Revision can be found on the letter. here

C3 – DETENTIONS

Students who are recorded as being behind with their work are expected to complete an additional hour at the end of their school day. The same applies to those who are persistently late or who receive a consequence in lessons. It is intended that this will support students in making better decisions and ultimately allow them to secure excellent grades alongside a desirable reference.
